Jimmy Buckley is now regarded as one of Ireland’s most successful Entertainers, not only has he received every major accolade here at Home but following numerous Tours across the water to The UK and America, Jimmy is now consistently selling out his Dances and Concerts in both countries. His popularity has extended into mainland Europe with his Craic on The Costa trips to Southern Spain proving to be a regular Best Seller.
In 2007 Jimmy released his first DVD “Live In Concert”. The DVD won “DVD of the year” at The Irish World awards and has been shown coast to coast on U.S television on more than one occasion. In recent years he has appeared as a guest on national television in Ireland, including The Late Late Show and Miriam on RTE, as well as Virgin Media’s Six o Clock show and Ireland AM.
Back in 2008 Jimmy realised one of his major professional and personal ambitions when he recorded a duet with Country Music Legend, George Jones. It was everything he had hoped it would be. The Galway based singer found himself in the studio with one of The Greats of The Country Music Business, who at one stage admitted to being blown away by the range and beauty of Jimmy’s Voice.
