Jake o'Kane

Belfast comedian Jake O’Kane is one of Northern Ireland’s best-known stand-up performers, celebrated for his sharp observational humour, fearless social commentary, and ability to find comedy in politics, everyday life, and the human condition.
A regular on television and radio for almost three decades, Jake has appeared across a wide range of programmes, including documentaries and national broadcast features. He is well known for his role as a panellist on BBC NI’s hit comedy panel show The Blame Game, where his quick wit and strong opinions made him a standout favourite with audiences.
Alongside his broadcasting work, Jake wrote a weekly column in The Irish News for seven years, offering his take on politics, society, and everything in between.
However, it is on the live stage where he is most at home. His annual “end of year review” shows have become a staple of the Northern Ireland comedy calendar, consistently selling out theatres year after year. He has built a reputation for crossing all divides, performing to packed audiences in venues across the spectrum — from Féile an Phobail to the Spectrum Centre on the Shankill Road — connecting with audiences from all backgrounds.
A fearless, intelligent, and hugely entertaining performer, Jake O’Kane continues to deliver sell-out shows across the country, offering a brutally honest and very funny look at politics, society, and himself.
